How we work

How to work with us.

What the first conversation covers, how an engagement is staged, what we need from you, and where you can stop. Written down so you can take it to a colleague without asking us first.

Three ways in

Pick the one that matches what you already have

A solution

  • Start here if the problem is still an open question, or the method does not exist yet.
  • You get a written problem statement, a method measured against a baseline, and a prototype on real data.
  • Shape a staged programme with review gates.

A product

  • Start here if the need repeats and we already have a deployable answer: EUNIQ or TopSyllabus.
  • You get a licensed product, implementation, and support.
  • Shape licence plus an implementation project.

A partner platform

  • Start here if proven technology already exists. Cybersecurity and GRC, or supply chain execution.
  • You get the vendor's product, implemented and supported by us.
  • Shape vendor licence, our implementation.

The stages

Staged, with a real stop at the end of each

Nothing here commits you to the next stage. We would rather stop at stage two than be the reason a bad idea ran for two years.

Stage 01

The advisory call

Thirty minutes with the engineers who would do the work, not a sales team. Bring one problem. You leave with a straight read on whether it is solvable with what exists today, whether it needs research first, and the rough shape of a first build.

Costs nothing · no obligation
What we need A description of the problem in your own words. No data, no NDA, no procurement process required at this point.
Stage 02

Scoping

We write down the problem, the data it depends on, the baseline we would measure against, and what a first build would include. You get that document whether or not you continue. It is useful to you either way.

You can stop here
What we need A named sponsor, access to someone who knows the domain, and a look at real data, and sample or masked is fine.
Stage 03

Prove or disprove

For research-track work: the method is built and measured against the stated baseline. If it misses, we write that up and say so. A prototype that fails its baseline is a normal outcome here, not a failure of the engagement.

You can stop here
What we need Working data access, and a decision on where the work is allowed to run.
Stage 04

Build and deploy

The method becomes software on the lalla.ai platform, deployed where your data is allowed to live — your cloud, on-premise, sovereign or air-gapped. Delivered in increments you can see and stop.

Increment by increment
What we need Environment access, a security review slot, and the people who will actually use it.
Stage 05

Run, support, hand over

Support and improvement with your team, plus documentation and training so you can run it without us if you choose to. We would rather you could leave than depend on us.

Annual, renewable
What we need A named owner on your side, and a review rhythm we both keep.

Money and ownership

What it costs, and what stays yours

How it is priced

  • The advisory call is free, and so is a second one if it takes two to be useful. There is no discovery invoice.
  • Solutions are priced per programme, shaped around the stages above. You see the number before stage two begins, and again before each stage after it.
  • Products are licensed annually, with implementation quoted separately.
  • Partner platforms carry the vendor's licence terms; our implementation and support is quoted by us.
  • We will give you an indicative range on the first call rather than making you wait for a proposal.

What stays yours

  • Your data stays yours, and stays where you say it can run.
  • Your domain model is yours. The graph we build of your business belongs to you.
  • Background and foreground IP are separated in writing before the first line of code, what we brought stays ours, what is created for you is dealt with explicitly.
  • The platform stays ours. lalla.ai is licensed to you, not sold.
  • Partner products stay the partner's. We implement and support them; we do not own them.

Before you call

The questions we are asked most

Practical

  • Do we need our data in order? No. Most of the value in early stages is working out what the data actually says.
  • Can it run inside our environment? Yes, your cloud, on-premise, sovereign or air-gapped.
  • Do you work with our existing systems? Yes. We connect to what you run rather than asking you to replace it.
  • What if the answer is not to build? Then we say so, and the engagement ends there.

Commercial

  • Who joins the first call? The engineers who would do the work, plus a sector advisor when the problem needs one.
  • How do we start small? Stage two produces a written scope you can take to your board before committing to a build.
  • Can we license a product without a programme? Yes. EUNIQ and TopSyllabus are licensed on their own.
  • Who signs? An MSA plus a statement of work per stage.
